We have been placeing rip rap along Lake Lanier's shoreline for over 10 years. We have two full service barges that can haul up to 80,000 lbs.
The rip rap process consist of the following.
- Prep the shoreline by knocking off the the lip of the bank and then cutting down trees in the way. - Hauling off debris - Putting down a non-woven geo textile fabric (8mil) - Hauling rock in by barge and placing it on the shoreline. - Hand place top layer of rock for appearance
